We’re heading into Week 4 of berry season here at Pangborn Farms, and the fields are full of summer’s best flavors! If you’ve been waiting to visit or you’re ready for round two, now’s the perfect time to get out into the fields, breathe in that fresh country air, and fill your buckets with the sweetest berries around.

Blueberries: Easy to Pick, Bursting with Flavor

Our blueberry fields are still going strong! The berries are ripe, sweet, and hanging low on the bushes — perfect for pickers of all ages. Whether you’re stocking up for pies, freezing for smoothies, or just snacking as you go (we see you ), now is the time to enjoy these blue gems.

Top 3 Reasons to Pick Blueberries This Week:

  1. They’re Easy to Harvest – Blueberries grow in generous clusters and are right at arm’s reach. It’s a great crop for kids, first-time pickers, or anyone wanting a relaxing morning in the field.

  2. They’re Packed with Nutrients – Blueberries are known as a superfood for a reason: high in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C, they’re a healthy snack you’ll feel good about.

  3. They Freeze Beautifully – Want to keep the summer going all year? Freeze your haul! No prep needed—just rinse and bag for easy smoothies, baking, and snacking later.

Raspberries: Last Call!

Our raspberry fields are nearly picked out, and we’ll be closing them soon. If you’re hoping to get a few more berries for your jam jars or weekend brunch, now is your last chance! Please do not come to the farm just for raspberries, as there may not be enough for your needs.

Canes in the row are next years' crop, so we need to be careful not to bend or break them. This is why the raspberry fields close.

Red Currants: Hidden Treasures

Still ripe and delicious, red currants are just a little harder to find. They love to tuck themselves inside the bushes, staying shaded from the summer sun. If you’re up for a bit of a berry scavenger hunt, they’re well worth the effort.
